Live Music, Community Fun, and Hands-On Experiences at Arlington’s Performance-Based Music School
ARLINGTON, TX – School of Rock, the leader in performance-based music education, is excited to announce the grand opening of its new location in Arlington, Texas. The free, family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, March 28, from 2 to 4 p.m. at 5760 West Pleasant Ridge Road, Arlington, TX 76015.
The celebration will feature guided tours of the school, trial lessons, live performances by student bands, a magic show, and complimentary food, giving attendees a firsthand look at the school’s dynamic, performance-driven approach to music education.
School of Rock Arlington is owned by April and Christy Schneider, a wife-and-wife team bringing their lifelong love of music to the local community. April, a former General Manager at DFW Wag Hotels for 13 years, began playing piano as a child and has always dreamed of a career in music. Christy grew up playing saxophone and trumpet, has a background in the military, and holds an associate’s degree in education.
“Being part of the music education community led us to School of Rock,” said April Schneider. “We are opening a school to provide a safe place for all ages to learn and make music. Music has equally saved both our lives, helped us through dark times, boosted our confidence, and filled our lives with purpose. We want to share that feeling with the Arlington community and show how healing music can be.”
April and Christy both grew up in the DFW area and are excited to bring their passion for music education to Arlington. They look forward to welcoming families into the space and creating an environment that they wish they had growing up.
“April and Christy represent the passion and commitment that make our schools so special,” said Stacey Ryan, President of School of Rock. “Their deep personal connection to music and their dedication to their community will create an inspiring environment where students in Arlington can grow as musicians and as people through our performance-based approach.”
School of Rock Arlington offers music programs for all skill levels and age groups, from kids as young as five years old to adults. Students receive weekly one-on-one instruction on guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, or vocals, and participate in group rehearsals that culminate in live performances at real venues. School of Rock’s patented performance-based model builds musical skills while fostering life skills like creativity, resilience, and teamwork.
